AAFV Outreach Program:
Our outreach program works to advocate for survivors and victims of domestic & sexual of violence for all individuals of any age, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and race. Our mission is to provide victim centered services that promote healing, hope, and strength.
Through our prevention education programs, we provide resources and information on the warning signs of relationship violence, the dynamics of power and control, and strategies for peer advocacy and self-care. Our outreach advocates work in community settings with youth and adults providing workshops on healthy relationships, abuse prevention parenting, safety planning and more. Our youth advocates promote community healing and justice through healthy relationship workshops, and youth led initiatives to involve peers, family and friends in conversations about preventing and ending gender based violence. Our outreach program has the capacity to support organizations in creating trauma informed environments that prevent violence through professional development workshops, webinars, and community prevention events.
